Internships

These are a minimum of 6-month internships, usually for Architectural Students looking to get hands-on experience in sustainable architecture. We specialise in natural buildings, passive solar design, mud and lime work, stonework, innovative designs for rocket stoves, cob ovens and so on and are happy to share the knowledge with you.

Volunteering

If you’d like to spend some time volunteering and learning about our way of life, this is the perfect space to do so. You could be someone with an interest in sustainable building or hold some skills that would help us like photography, videography, social media handling, blog writing, wall art painting, Permaculture etc. 

The help is usually physical and involves a lot of manual labour, unless above-mentioned skills. Because of the monsoon season, outdoor work gets limited and random between June-September. We work between 9 am to 5 pm with a 2-hour lunch break. We expect help from you for 5 hours a day.

We are based in a remote rural village. The nearest market is 20kms away so all provisions need to be planned few days in advance. We only take volunteers with a minimum commitment of two weeks, to facilitate a meaningful exchange. Please note that there is a volunteering fee applicable of INR 350 per day.
